Creating Safe Space For Yourself

Your safe space is like a temple for you. The size of the space doesn’t matter. What matters is that you keep this area sacred and dedicated to your creative work. Having a committed space that honors yourself and your creativity is essential to embracing and owning your creativity.

Ask yourself:

  1. What does your creative space needs to feel like, embody for your work, your comfort, practical needs, and how you are going to use it?
  2. As you begin to create the space, check in with yourself, “What about this space feels true and right? What about this space needs to change to become more like me.”
  3. What would the first step be to get started and start owning this space for your creative work? Then go ahead and begin to live and create in it.
  4. The more you use the space, the more you will want to make it your own.

Remember your safe space is where you feel safe and nurtured. Honor yourself and your creativity and your space will know that you are committed to it.
